February 1, 2012: The Board of Directors of The Farm Credit Council recently elected Mike Garnett of Spearman, Texas, as its Chairman, and Mary Fritz of Chester, Montana, as its Vice Chairman. Doug Felton, of Cannon Falls, Minnesota; Gary Alexander, of Westminster, South Carolina; and Andy Gilbert, of Potsdam, New York, will join Garnett and Fritz on the Council’s Executive Committee. October 11, 2011: The Farm Credit Council, in partnership with the Wallace Center of Winrock International, and through a grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is launching a project to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of training programs for beginning farmers and ranchers.
